𝐀𝐂𝐂 𝐑𝐞𝐟𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐋𝐞 𝟏𝐁𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐓𝐨 𝐅𝐂𝐂

The Anti Corruption Commission Sierra Leone (ACC-SL) on Monday 20th October 2025, in the office of Commissioner Francis Ben Kaifala Esq, Integrity House, Tower Hill, Freetown , handed to the Chief Administrator of the Freetown City Council (FCC), Mr. Rahman Tom Farmar, a second Cheque of One Million Leone (Le:1,000,000.00), being the equivalent of One Billion old Leones (Le:1,000,000,000.00) in the currency it was initially stolen from the FCC.

This second tranche payment to the FCC is part of the Commission’s commitment to return the full Three Billion old Leones (Le:3,000,000,000.00) stolen from the FCC by some council staff in connivance with some staff of a commercial bank, where the council’s account was domiciled. The ACC investigated suspected staff of the council and the bank and fully recovered the amount found to have been misappropriated plus interest.

In addition to these recoveries, perpetrators have received administrative sanctions
