The leak of the audio conversation between former President Dr Ernest Bai Koroma and a veteran APC diaspora member, MS Bangura, has been described as deliberate. EBK is a master tactician. He has deliberately collapsed Dr Samura Kamara’s ambition to ever lead the APC again. He chose to talk to MS Bangura for almost an hour because he knew that MS Bangura remains a staunch supporter of Dr Samura Kamara. EBK exposed Dr. Samura Kamara is an unreliable leader and a selfish man who can not be trusted. EBK has a horse in the APC 2028 leadership race. That young and inexperienced horse is Dr. Ibrahim Bangura. Dr Samura Kamara’s political godfather and mentor EBK no longer has confidence in him. He has kicked him down the proverbial political long grass. In our view, this is the beginning of the end of Orsamu’s relevance in the APC. Whether one likes it or not, EBK remains relevant in the APC. He has positioned himself as the party’s sole proprietor. His views on party affairs matter to ordinary APC members. How Orsamu returns from this political knockout remains a mystery to many keen observers of APC party politics. Let’s wait and see!
