On Monday, 17th November 2025, as the Chairman of the West Africa Police Chiefs Committee (WAPCCO) and Inspector General of Police, William Fayia Sellu, has received and host the Police Chief of the Liberia National Police, Honourable Gregory O.W. Coleman.
This landmark visit marks the first time police chiefs from other West African country will visit Sierra Leone under the leadership of IGP Sellu. The development underscores his unwavering commitment to transforming the Sierra Leone Police (SLP) and strengthening bilateral cooperation in the fight against organised crime and other cross-border security threats within the sub-region
The visit by the Liberian Police Chiefs is expected to deepen existing security ties, enhance intelligence-sharing, and solidify collaborative efforts aimed at safeguarding regional stability.
