The Political Parties Regulation Commission (PPRC) has publicly recognised the Sierra Leone Police (SLP) for their instrumental support during the recent Sierra Leone Peopleโs Party (SLPP) lower-level elections held nationwide. In a statement issued on 30 June 2025, the Commissionโs Executive Secretary, Olushogo A. David, on behalf of the Commission, commended the SLP for their professionalism, commitment, and dedication in ensuring the safety and security of election staff, party members, stakeholders, and the general public throughout the electoral process.
The PPRC specifically praised the Regional Police Commanders and police personnel for their significant contribution to maintaining peace and order during the elections. Mr David expressed appreciation for the collaborative efforts of the SLP, which played a vital role in overcoming challenges and fostering a peaceful electoral environment.
The Commission reiterated its desire to continue working closely with the SLP in upholding peace, law, and order as Sierra Leone advances its democratic processes.
