Siaka Wโdeama a fifty-two years old native court clerk, Cheif Ya Alimamy Kanugba Sesay a forty-six years old Native Local Cheif and Santigie Conteh a forty-eight years old mason made their first appearance before magistrate Santigie Bangura of Pademba Road Court No. 2 on Monday, 10th February 2025, on one count charge of Assault Occasioning Actual Bodily Harm Contrary to section 47 of the Offence Against the Person Act 1861.
According to the prosecutor on Sunday 26th January 2025, at Leicester Village in Freetown, the three accused persons assaulted Lewis Amadu Sesay in a manner thereby occasioning him actual bodily harm.
When the charge was read and explained to the accused persons, they pleaded not guilty.
The state prosecution counsel Deputy Superintendent of police Sorieย Conteh sought a short adjournment date to have a proper conference with his witness.
The accused persons were not legally represented.
Magistrate Bangura later granted bail to the accused persons
The matter has been adjourned to the 20th of February, 2025, for further proceedings
