Deputy Inspector General of Police Retires

The Deputy Inspector General of Police, Mr. Aiah Edward Samadia has officially retired from the Sierra Leone Police effective Wednesday, 5th February 2025 as he has attained the mandatory retirement age.
On the 13th July, 2024 the Police Council appointed Mr. Aiah Edward Samadia as Deputy Inspector General of Police.
His Predecessor DIG Kaillie fell sick shortly after his appointment and died.
DIG Samadia is the first DIG to leave the Sierra Leone Police as a retired DIG. All others were either sacked or removed from office.
