The Kingdom Police Hospital has received a new shipment of medical supplies for the first quarter of January 2025, marking a significant milestone in enhancing health and medical care for police officers. This initiative reflects the commitment of the Inspector General of Police, Mr. William Fayia Sellu, to improve healthcare services for Police personnel.
Assistant Superintendent Dr. John Mumuneh Konteh emphasized that this delivery is part of a comprehensive plan to ensure that police officers receive adequate medical support, which is crucial for maintaining their physical and mental well-being while serving the community. The new supplies are expected to address a variety of healthcare needs, thereby increasing the hospital’s capacity to deliver quality medical care.
Dr. Konteh assured that the delivery process involved stock verifiers and the Sierra Leone Police (SLP) pharmacy, confirming that the supplied medicines are safe and unexpired. This ensures transparency throughout the procurement and delivery process.
Looking ahead, Dr. Konteh announced that additional medical consignments are on the way, underscoring ongoing efforts to enhance healthcare infrastructure not only within the Western area of Freetown but across all police health facilities in the country. The overarching goal is to foster a healthier work environment for officers, which is vital for maintaining the effectiveness and responsiveness of the police.
As the Kingdom Police Hospital continues to upgrade its medical capabilities, officers can look forward to improved access to healthcare services, ultimately benefiting both the personnel and the communities they are sworn to protect.
