President Julius Maada Bio performed this yearโs Eid al-Fitr prayer and celebration at the Presidential Lodge, Hill Station in Freetown.
The event was graced by a host of senior citizens and government officials, including former Vice President Alhaji Chief Sam Sumana.
In a short message, President Bio said, โAs we conclude the Holy Month of Ramadan, I extend my warmest wishes to the Muslim community across Sierra Leone on this joyous occasion of Eid al-Fitri. This significant day marks the end of a month filled with reflection, prayer, and acts of kindness.
Eid-al-Fitr is not only a time for celebration but also an opportunity to express gratitude for the blessings we have received and to share our abundance with those in need. It is a reminder of the values of compassion, unity, and generosity that are at the heart of our great nation.
I encourage all Sierra Leoneans to embrace the spirit of Eid by fostering peace and understanding within our communities. Let us come together to celebrate our shared humanity and work towards a brighter future for all.
May this Eid bring you and your loved ones joy, prosperity, and good health.
Eid Mubarak!
