For alleged collusion with coup plotters…. Government declares ASP Pastor Grant Abdul Koroma wanted…..

Information gathered by this newspaper indicates that a former Police Officer, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Pastor Grant Abdul Koroma, formerly of 45 Sumaila Town in the west end of Freetown is now on the run, fearing for the safety of his life after he was declared wanted by the Sierra Leone Police on the allegations that he was engaged in subversive activities and colluding coup plotters to overthrow the Government of Sierra Leone by use of force.
According to a Police source, ASP Pastor Grant Abdul Koroma is reported to have made available his house to former Sergent Alima Bangura in Sumaila Town in the west end of Freetown, where men used to meet to plan on how to overthrow the Government of Sierra Leone through the use of force.
The reports further started that the during the coup attempt of 26 November 2023, renegde Soldiers and others who staged the attempted coup were found to be staying at the 45 Sumaila Town residence of both former Sergeant Alima Bangura and ASP Pastor Grant Abdul Koroma.
The reports further stated that in the aftermath of the failed coup attempt, Soldiers and Police Officers stormed the 45 Sumaila Town residence where they reported arrested Madam Alima Bangura and others and systematically gang raped Mrs. Mabinty Koroma, the wife of ASP Pastor Grant Abdul Koroma.
It is further reported that ASP Pastor Grant Abdul Koroma was eventually arrested on 4 December, 2023 and tortured during which he sustained a permanent injury to his left eye.
The reports continued that he was taken to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) headquarters at Pademba Road in Freetown, where he was detained for some days while he was being investigated.
The reports further revealed that ASP Pastor Grant Abdul Koroma was later released as he was not found to have committed any act of subversion or collusion with the enemy.
The reports further stated that sometime in March 2024, heavily armed Police Officers and Soldiers again stormed the residence of ASP Pastor Grant Abdul Koroma, where they reportedly beat residents of the house, arrested ASP Pastor Grant Abdul Koroma and took him away to an undisclosed location.
A community member who spoke to this Reporter revealed that armed Soldiers and Police Officers continued to visit the house searching for former ASP Pastor Grant Abdul Koroma, making threatening remarks that when they catch him, they will kill him on the spot.
He also stated that ASP Pastor Grant Abdul Koroma and his wife and their four children have not been seen in the community since the day that their house was ransacked, and ASP Pastor Grant Abdul Koroma arrested and taken away.
At the time of going to press, this Reporter learned that ASP Pastor Grant Abdul Koroma has been declared wanted for subversion and colluding with the enemy to overthrow the Government of Sierra Leone by violent and unlawful means, and a reward of twenty thousand New Leones (Le 20, 000. 00) is being offered to anybody who will give them information that will lead to his arrest.
